Getting your first acting classes is a very important decision to make. What you have to consider first is what  type of tuition you want to take and the budget you have . That will shorten your options and help you to make a better decision.

In general, there are two types of acting classes. They are  person to person classes and group classes. Both have their advantages and disadvantages, however, if the budget is one of  the key factors, you probably will go for the group classes, because normally face to face acting classes are pricier.
Another factor that can influence your decision is the type of personality you have. If you’re the type of person that feels comfortable in front of people and likes to get the opinions of others and that helps you to assimilate the classes, the best chance to learn  is by taking group acting classes.

He will be able to notice your weaknesses in early stages of your learning, and this will give you plenty of time to make those weaknesses in strengths. Also, if you’re shy, by being walked through the acting process, you will gain confidence quicker, and that will let go all type of fears for acting in front a lot of people.

If you have decided to take group acting classes, well besides the reason that is cheaper, there are other advantages to take in consideration. First of all, by learning inside a group of people, that means that everybody will be sharing their knowledge and ideas about acting.

This will result in a valuable feedback that will help you to take of the contributions of other people. Generally, by having a lot of new ideas, creativeness will be present in the acting environment. Also there is a indirect advantage of having group classes, and it’s that you will be able to make new friends that enjoy or have the same goals in mind, this in the medium term will help you to build a network of friends that will probably take the same journey if you’re looking to become a professional actor.

Finally, picking the right school is something that you have to be lucky to have many alternatives, however there’s always a chance to join a A1 school if you ask and look for the right information.
You’ll probably need to do a research on acting schools and tutors. If you get enough luck to meet a professional actor, then you can ask for its recommendation, but if not, you can look for school that have achieved something in the past year. Also you can look for the accomplishments that the tutor that is making the one to one acting classes , has achieved.

Some schools offers a free trial classes so you can see their methodology, don’t be shy and if they don’t offer this service, don’t be afraid to ask. Always keep in your mind that the main reason for picking a school and type of acting classes is that you feel comfortable and develop your skills according to your expectations.
