As everybody would expect to see this great movie being released at the end of this year, it looks like it’s been pushed back to June, 2011.

While there are strong candidates for the main lead roles, now the casting director is starting to take in consideration the supporting characters, not too much information has been leaked across the internet about the location but since, it’s being rumored that Louisiana state has been giving great taxes incentives for filming companies to shoot in their locations.

According to Christopher Nolan who has been working on the next release of Batman 3, it looks like, the green lantern movie would be filmed there too, giving all the actor folks from Louisiana a great opportunity to be on one of the most acclaimed comic movies. There is been a growing fan base regarding this movie, the attempts to make it a live action movie was always limited by the technology the film companies possessed, however in the last years this has dramatically changed and we can see CGI’s scenes on almost every sci-fi movie because the budget for these type of effects is in the range of investment.

Below are the casting information posted at some point :

CAROL FERRIS , 26-32, a smart and attractive woman with an MBA. She started as a pilot and now runs Ferris Aircraft. She is a work-a-holic…FEMALE LEAD

Dr. Hector Hammond, 27-35, Character actor who is austere and impersonal, he is real “scummy.” He is a pathologist and also the son of a Senator.

Sinestro, Mid-30s to Mid-40s, he is smart, tough, intimidating and in great physical shape.

Abin Sur, Mid-30s to mid-40s, he is a great warrior.

Then we’ll see the full casting members for the lead roles.

Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan,

Blake Lively as Carol Ferris,

Peter Saasgaard as Hector Hammond,

Mark Strong as Sinestro, which is not going to be the main villain in this movie, but will play as the mentor of Hal Jordan.
